"Roundabout" is a song by the English #progressiveRock band #Yes from their fourth studio album #Fragile, released in November 1971. It was written by singer #JonAnderson and guitarist #SteveHowe and produced by the band and #EddyOfford. The song originated when the band were on tour and travelled from #Aberdeen to #Glasgow, and went through many #roundabouts on the way. The song was released as an edited single in the US in January 1972 with "#LongDistanceRunaround".

@ariarmstrongwriter Still disappointed that #SteveHowe, #ChisSquire, and #AlanWhite found a new singer in 2008 rather than waiting for #JonAnderson to recover from acute respiratory failure, and then did it *again* in 2012 after *that* guy came down with respiratory problems.

Then Squire passed in 2015, leaving us 2001’s “Magnification” as the last studio album with his and Anderson’s vocal harmonies that were absolutely essential to the #Yes sound: songwhip.com/yes/magnification 😒

“In and around the lake
Mountains come out of the sky and they stand there
One mile over we'll be there and we'll see you
Ten true summers we'll be there and laughing too
Twenty four before my love you'll see I'll be there with you”

#cassettereclamation. A bit of comic relief. In 1978 we needed a more pop rock number in our setlist.

I frankly despised pretty much everything about this band and the track. I recall that I referred to it as "Whore Than a Feeling." I listened to YES DAMMITT!

So, I gave it the #SteveHowe on Relayer treatment. 😀 The band actually does a nice job with it, despite my sabotage.

The tape was in pretty bad shape, but you'll get the idea.
