Long tail seems better for carrying kids, long nose better for animals. I had a Bullit & a Bakfiets adored them, so did my dog. I think they may be more aerodynamic too, they always felt fast.
But here in #raglan there are quite a few parents with kids on long tails, not a long nose in sight.
Basically all are good :-D
I have one of these, purchased in my beloved #Raglan #Aotearoa #NewZealand. My son calls it my purse/handbag. I'm now terribly self conscious wearing it, which I do almost daily. Have put the larger size, which can hold tablet &/or laptop, on my 55th birthday list.

@Creativeelc #raglan has been like this for years. Something went bad with the public/school pool & its been closed for ages. Meanwhile folks build holiday homes here with insanely nice pools. I've alienated myself with at least two owners of these pools by having no filter & expressing to them that it sickens me. Literally, almost physical nausea to have such inequality proudly displayed.
I've learned how to use followed hashtags. My feed for #Raglan is pretty sparse, much like the town itself this morning!

Sounds like a good plan, and congratulations getting back on that horse!
My go-to #baby item is Carol Barenys's top-down #raglan baby #cardigan. It isn't as fast as some, but it is simple and reasonably quick. And, when I have time and inclination, it can easily be 'fancied up' with stitch patterns, gorgeous yarn, and/or exquisite buttons.
This site has shared this pattern for decades; print it to pdf for safety. Iirc I first saw it on NNTP.

A full day of awesome #geology tourism around #Raglan Harbour #Whāingaroa and #Karioi Maunga. Oligocene limestone exposed at the coast, more titanomagnetite-rich black sand beaches, and Plio-Pliestocene calc-alkalic basaltic volcanism (with an unusual combination of island arc and intraplate magmatism) with some awesome stratigraphy and a few waterfalls.
Just read about an accident between #Raglan & #Hamilton. Of course my overactive brain kicks in. Trying to get in touch with my boy, who commutes from Raglan to #Kirikiriroa several times a week.
