Gorgeous & heavily scented #RedRose
My fave rose plant in our gardens. It's about 50 years old & produces lots of pretty lipstick red, medium sized roses that smell heavenly & their petals have a sweet taste too.

Happy Valentine's Day!

I remember taking a bag full of Valentine's cards to school and passing them out to my classmates on Valentine's Day when I was in grade school. Businesses still sell these cards, so I imagine it's still a tradition in schools today. Back then, everyone had a bag on their desk to collect the cards from others, though I don't recall all the details—just that it was a special day. Another such day was Sadie Hawkins Day, which I believe was on November 13th. I'm not sure if Sadie Hawkins Day was universally celebrated since it was based on a comic strip, but it was a fun dress-up (or dress-down) day.
