The White House is lying, saying this is a "transition period," requiring short term pain. This is a controlled demolition of entire economies. There is no truth to anything they are saying, and no path to prosperity on this route. It's raw, unbridled terrorism.
@davetroy Every time after the Republicans drove the country into turmoil and debt, the Democrats will have to clean up. Happened to Clinton, to Obama, to Biden, just to name a few recent occurrences.
Question is, how much damage will they do this time? It looks like it's unprecedented already. Cleaning up will be no easy task. Even more when no former ally trusts the USA anymore.
@Brokar this time is different because we've ripped out all the wiring that will allow a resolution. Elections are unlikely to be remedial now.
@davetroy Well, let's hope there will be a "next election" and there are some sane people left in the country to vote for other sane people.

As long as people still get their news from X and TikTok instead of serious sources ... and the media starts to become trustworthy again by reporting facts, not fantasy, i don't see that it will get any better next time. For all of us, worldwide.
