Caroline Orr Bueno reports that ProPublica contacted the CDC to ask why it suppressed a report warning that the risk of measles is higher in areas near outbreaks where vaccination rates are lower.
CDC responded,
“The decision to vaccinate is a personal one." As Bueno notes, this echoes HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s own language about vaccination.

Wife and I are on immune suppressants for autoimmune diseases (wife Chron's; me psoriatic arthritis).
We each got titers for most of the illnesses #GenX was regularly inoculated for. Wife came back unprotected for measles. I came back "equivocal" and the low end thereof. So, we each talked to the doctors that prescribed our respective medications and are now on breaks from them so that we could get vaccinated this past Friday. It'll be another three-plus weeks before we can go back on our respective medications.
@wdlindsy If only we had some kind of department that communicates and forecasts diseases, and stressed the importance of vaccinations. Instead of you know...a moron that suppresses data because it hurts his propaganda income stream, and what remains of his worm eaten brain.

can't really blame worm- brain. He made abundantly clear what a dangerous lunatic he is. Trump appointed him, approving and applauding his lunacy. Then 52 US Senators, only 5-10% of whom are totally bonkers, confirmed him with full knowledge of exactly what would happen. Those 40 or so are traitors, should be decorating the yardarms of the USS Constitution. The others just belong with this guy.
