I submitted feedback to HB 6229, a CT bill that would reduce the use of single-use plastics.

The process took about 5 minutes. Mu feedback will be incorporated into a hearing where public testimony on the bill is received.

Thanks to the #CCL for people know about actions like this. I feel like I made a small difference today.

There's 2 fundamental ways to get things changed

1) work in the system to update it
2) make a new system

The US is still operating under mode 1 - the system may be changing rapidly, but that doesn't mean it's an entirely new system.

A computer analogy - we've gone from Windows 7 to 10 to 11 in a short time, not from Windows 7 to Ubuntu). If you feel like you're lost in "Windows 11", try to take some training! Apply for a job at "Microsoft"!

I joined @citizensclimate in March. So far, I've lobbied 2 State legislators & 3 Congresspersons; attended the National Conf in D.C. & now the Regional Conference. Good organization, actively working on #ClimateAction & #ClimatePolicy. Great org to volunteer, led by highly competent staff.

If you're looking for an organization to move the needle on clean energy & climate, #CCL is a good one. They welcome all. Great to see four students at our meeting as well
