I spent some time in the Smithers, BC area last week. One of the things I tried for the first time was securing a tripod and 600mm f/4 lens to my kayak.

Wildlife weekend. We had two black bear cubs visit our back yard, and then watched a common loon while out for a paddle. The bear cubs eventually fell out the tree. The loon is covered in little flies - spring time at the lake.
