Just gave @penpot a try for a project. It is much more mature than I had expected! But there are still quite a few bugs, quirks, and inconsistencies that make working with it very cumbersome. Still a way to go until this is a serious alternative to #Figma IMO.

#PSA: Creating a website with #Figma sites currently produces an inaccessible mess, not compatible with search engines, screen readers, or older devices with weaker processors.

In plain English:

Figma sites, in their current state, discriminate against people with disabilities. Search engines won't rank them, because they don't understand them. Old phones and computers will run hot and might crash trying to open them.

Another confusing puzzle. Which slider is disabled? According to Figma, top one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Why are modern designers so afraid of contrast? E.g. Figma uses #F5F5F5 and #FFFFFF do differentiate between selected/unselected states. That’s invisible almost anywhere!
