...of millions of people and there progeny would have lived, making their, now lost forever, contributions to mankind. --7% #DarkTriads, you say? Well, yes, but using the #Confucian aptitude tests, most could have been filtered out, I'd reply. 😉

Enlightening comparison of European and US-American behaviour (written by #theeconomist), it's a #goodread:
"There is no Brussels quip about turning an unwilling neighbour into “our 28th state” (on the contrary, many of the EU’s neighbours are desperate to join the club). Nor do European vice-presidents fly uninvited to places they are seeking to annex, on the pretext that their spouse wants to watch a sledge race."

Just finished the REVENGE of the TIPPING POINT by Macolm Gladwell. It's really interesting in the context of our current political climate but also around things as facetious as Linux on the Desktop or Artificial intelligence. It's hard to observe and participate in some of these group-think related tipping points while also trying to be introspective without feeling as if you are part of the problem. Or worse, becoming apathetic or putting your hands over your ears and pretending everything is fine.

His end quote has rung a bell in me however, "The tools necessary to control an epidemic are sitting on the table, right in front of us. We can let the unscrupulous take them. Or we can pick them up ourselves, and use them to build a better world". Sometimes, those of us with the abilities or talent or voice just need someone to remind us it seems.

Tipping points are fabricated, engineered, built and that's OUR lane.
