Ukraine hits Russian electronic warfare facility making Shahed, #Iskander components

#Ukraine struck critical #Russian #military-industrial site overnight that produces #components for high-precision #weapons

The site in question is #JSC VNIIR-Progress, a Russian state institute that specializes in developing #ElectronicWarfare (EW) systems, including the #Kometa antenna arrays, used to jam #satellite, #radio, and #radar signals.

Ukrainian drones attack struck #JSC VNIIR-Progress facility in #Russian city of #Cheboksary, #Chuvashia Republic, causing #explosions and massive fires, #Russian Telegram news channels reported in the early hours of June 9.

The #Ukrainian military confirmed that at least two drones struck the site, causing a large fire. The results of the strike are still being assessed.

In the morning in #Cheboksary, drones attacked the #VNIIR_Progress company at the #ERF.

At least two powerful attacks on the plant are known, after which the company suspended work.

#JSC "#VNIIR" manufactures #Comet antennas, a key element of protecting #Russian drones from #Ukrainian electronic warfare systems.

In total, 49 good drones were allegedly shot down over the #ERF during the night.

Cotton came to the #Roscosmos enterprise in #Altai

The incident occurred at #JSC "Federal Research and Production Centre "#Altai in #Biysk, #Russia. The enterprise is part of "#Roscosmos" and produces ammunition, solid propellant charges for rocket engines, and explosives. It is under the sanctions of the #EU, #USA, #Japan, and #Ukraine.

Locals report a powerful explosion, although the local authorities traditionally attribute everything to "working technological processes." Well, well.
