Why the new EU-New Zealand free trade deal is important.
Brussels said the agreement, signed on Sunday after more than five years of negotiations, will pave the way for EU states to boost investment in the country by up to 80% and increase bilateral trade by nearly a third.
In a first for an EU trade deal, the agreement contains ambitious outcomes to tackle climate change and makes these commitments enforceable.
