A few moments later I saw her in the nearby supermarket and let her know. She said with a smile “Oh my goodness. That would have been a disaster. Thank you!” and hot stepped it back to grab it… #NotAllHeroesWearCapes
Went to a friend's house yesterday and noticed that they had the toilet roll the wrong way round.
I fixed it.

Red, star of such posts as 'Would You Like To Talk To Me About Dinosaurs' and 'Chicken SWAT Team Available For Hire' - not to mention Tormentor Of The Cat - was attacked by a fox earlier this evening, in the back garden and in broad daylight.
If it hadn't been for Lily's yelling - a skill honed after every sodding time she's laid an egg, like it was a miracle of nature* - I wouldn't have gone running out to find the fox pinning Red to the ground, amongst a mountain of feathers. I assumed she was a goner, but ran back inside with her, to where the other chickens had fled and were tucking into some chicken-flavoured dog food, to find her still breathing.
Anyway, she's eaten her own bodyweight in sweetcorn, is about to get a bunch of useful drugs and they've all taken up residence in the kitchen. Apart from a bald arse she's essentially bloody but unbowed.
Whether the fox survived the ordeal is anybody's guess. Thoughts and prayers.

Peterson turned 2 weeks old yesterday. He's starting to show some age--he has little less poof--and has been relocated from the kitchen counter to a secluded bookshelf for his safety. He is still valiantly soldiering along though, constantly overwhelming the temptation of playing with the ipad with his mere existence.
Not all heroes wear capes
This is Peterson. Underneath Peterson is the kid's ipad, which has lately become a source of strife. The ipad is not off limits, but using it would require destroying Peterson, who, being composed entirely of puppy floof leftover from a recent beard trim, is very fragile.
Peterson is entering his 3rd day of life today.
We have no idea how much longer our brave little hero will survive, but we salute him.
