This might be the optimum time to buy CDs.

They are super cheap in second hand shops or eBay, you can find pretty much anything (whereas there's a bunch of stuff that's #notonspotify), and sound quality is well… nearly gold standard (no, most humans can't hear the difference between FLAC 16/44 and FLAC 24/96).

And having them doesn't prevent you from also enjoying the convenience of streaming or/of files (which you can always rebuild from the discs).

I'm glad i never got rid of mine.

Flight to the Moon - Official NASA voice tapes of the flight of Apollo 11 and man’s first moon landing.

Found this album and couldn’t resist…a documentary of the Apollo 11 mission including Astronauts & Mission Control as they launch, travel to and land in the moon in July 1969. Plus some TV news broadcast incorporation and even Nixon’s call to the astronauts.

A nice synopsis of the week’s long events to a single LP. Great booklet with 10-pages of supplementary text and photos.

Reading news to the astronauts was a bit of a waste of time on the album, but still a great package.

Here is a pretty rare and out-of-print record which was released in France back around 1978, recorded by an all-star group of studio musicians.

This video is made of of several songs that seamlessly crossfade into each other. (read the description on YouTube for names and details)
