You can lift to keep your muscles strong, and walk to keep your heart healthy, and take finasteride to stop your hair from falling out, and fluoride to prevent your teeth from cracking, but the day will still come when the optometrist says "so, did you want to go with bifocals?"

This was me, for real, seeing this chart at the massage therapist’s yesterday, glasses off.

I remember a while back, a month? that a zeroes i follow posted they had a positive experience with a Victoria optometrist re:covid, and they would follow up later with details. If they did, I either missed it or I can't find it. I have an odd idea it was @douglaspynn but that could be my fevered imagination. Douglas, sorry if I'm wrong.

- spectral quality (red)
- dopamine, local effect on eye
- atropine & dopamine do not affect normal eye growth; only have effects once myopic changes are initiated

There's a reason why we can't do full eye transplants yet (and make them work, I mean). #DidYouKnow that the human eye has around 2 million moving parts?

I think it's probably the next frontier in organ transplants, but it's probably a long way off. :P

Prescription glasses from #AliExpress, round 2: Success!

Frame is cheap and cheerful and comfortable.

Lenses are good, 1.56 index, aspheric grind (this solved the chromatic aberration - don't go with the default spheric lenses if you do any computer stuff, it was only ~€5 more). Prescription is correct, these are single vision with a cylinder on both eyes plus presbyopia. Clean easy!

€22 with delivery. Bifocal/varifocals cost more.
