#Nebula provides the exact opposite of what YouTube has to offer: captivating, well-researched and professionally edited documentaries without clickbait or sloppy writing.

That's why I'm deeply disappointed with their featured video “Why Palestine must be free” by the channel #OurChangingClimate: Not only did it perpetuate the Holocaust-trivialising lie of “Palestinian concentration camps”, it also suggested the dismantlement of Israel as “the only solution”.

Nebula should be better than that.

“The goal of oppressors is to limit your imagination about what is possible without them, so you might never imagine more for  yourself & the world you live in. This is why we need vibrant visions and debates not just about the destruction of capitalism, not just about how we get to an ecological zero carbon world, but also about what that world looks like when we get there."

"Ecological  planning is essential. Because capitalism,  with its market-driven anarchy, fails to account  for ecological sustainability in any meaningful way. Capitalism has already failed. Capitalism is not going to get us out of this mess. We've been talking about climate change and other environmental crises for more than,  three decades and things have gotten much worse. So, we know that capitalism has ripped the natural world apart and it has failed to mend it back together."

I've talked about this intersection before, but Our Changing Climate has put out an awesome primer on how #capitalism won't - and more importantly can't - save us from climate change. (23:58)

Capital is now intrinsically linked to burning and extraction of fossil fuels, and never-ending consumption for 'growth'.

(As made clear by Vivek Ramaswamy at one of the Republican debates)
