@w7voa It is hard not to feel despondent about the targeted destruction of these institutions of current affairs.

Like millions of others, I have listened to the likes of VOA and the BBC World Service from all over the world with a cheap battery-operated SW radio.

The difference it has made to my life and understanding of the world is immeasurable. I well remember waiting in the wee small hours of the morning for the ionosphere to be just right so I could pick up VOA.

Without such sources I would have been a total captive to the propaganda of my local government and "news" providers - such as they are.

#SaveVOA is more than important.
