TX AG #KenPaxton sues top financial investment firms for no longer backing #coal.

#BlackRock, State Street and #Vanguard were all named in #lawsuit, and cited for "destructive’ #GreenAgenda" and an alleged #conspiracy to curtail coal supplies.

"#Texas will not tolerate the illegal weaponisation of the financial industry in service of a destructive, politicised environmental agenda,” said the state's attorney-general who now has found other #redstate AG's from #Missouri, #WestVirginia and #Wyoming, to sign on and back the legal case to punish investment firms who've thus far either denied culpability or refused comment.

An aggrieved investor litigant who reportedly received an #anonymous tip letter was rebuffed by #court until later on his own, uncovered TX #property records that showed the #judge had real financial ties with his secret legal paramour.

The #whistleblower recently had his claims against the illicit ethically corrupt ties in the court "thrown out" finding he did not have "standing" to challenge the obviously twisted situation.

The judge who reigned over #SouthernDistrictofTexas’ #ComplexChapter11 cases and has since resigned, claims since he was #unmarried, #DirtyDeal recusal rules simply did not apply to him, but others want actual answers and finally, after years of sweeping this brewing kerfuffle under a rug, a #Federal #deposition has been ordered.

Judge Eduardo Rodriguez, now chief judge of the Southern District of Texas bankruptcy court, has ordered David Jones, his predecessor, to be deposed on September 19. Complicating matters, Jones has also publicly confirmed he is under federal criminal investigation, which could constrict what he discloses in the sworn interview.

The court says the victim lacked standing to sue the two law firms, then-judge Jones and his longtime romantic partner, who worked as a bankruptcy lawyer on major chapter 11 cases they brought to his court. Jones became the nation’s busiest bankruptcy judge in recent years after Kirkland, the top U.S. firm for advising financially-troubled companies, began filing many of its largest chapter 11 cases to Houston, usually with Texas-based Jackson Walker as its co-counsel. Jones resigned in October after he confirmed to The Wall Street Journal that he had shared a home for years with Elizabeth Freeman, a Jackson Walker partner from 2018 to 2022.
