What it's like being #homeless in a red state -

I was sleeping in a tent in Idaho - that I had to move every 2 days as #police had nothing to do with a low crime rate, and liked harassing homeless - which I was doing as the only shelter in town kicked me out for having #tourettes.

I was excited a new shelter was gonna be opened.

It got cancelled as it was next to a rich neighborhood filled with Mormons who sued them into oblivion, and I moved to #portland.

I should start a series called #tourettes Weird Moment of the Day:

Today's case-

A new guy who's nice at the Group Home I stay at, but also annoying as he asks obvious questions all day asked me "You drink instant coffee black?!".

"Yes," I was short as I was tired and just awoke.

"What are you a serial killer?" He was making a joke. I was gonna politely ask to be left alone.

I ticked as I was annoyed and said "Not yet, I'll start with you!" Now he's scared of me.

Perks to #tourettes -

1. I can snap loud enough to get someone's attention from across a mall food court.

2. I can rant off the top of my head about anything I am knowledgeable, and even make it funny.

3. I have only lost a nasty argument with someone with Tourettes.

Cons-

1. I never sleep, and need active things to do so living with me is strange.

2. Few people have the stamina to talk as much as I want to.

3. Randomly cursing at police as they walk by cuz they're scary.

I have finally met someone else who has severe #tourettes who I am not related to!

I stay with them at the new care facility I have found myself at, and have a new best friend!

It only took until I was 31, which isn't surprising as Tourettes in Adults is very rare in any form, about 1 in 9000 people. Then severe cases are more like 1 in 50,000 people.

We were laughing earlier as we kept setting one another off, and had the same life story.

Nice to have solidarity.

My severe #claustrophobia is caused by #cptsd as prisoners got better treatment than I did as a kid.

#tourettes causes a lot of pain if you don't understand how to manage it. I suppressed my tics all the time out of shame, and fear from watching how my dad treated my mother. If you do that all the time, you're in immense pain.

He thought I was faking so he took everything from me. I was alone, with nothing to do, and could never leave either.

I have the most polite #coprolalia ever, which is the #tourettes symptom of randomly speaking, or shouting.

The Greek basis of it essentially means "feces babble," as it's usually extremely offensive, or random curses.

I do that at times. Only when very mad, frustrated or hurt.

Typical I say or whisper observations, or things I'm thinking

Earlier I said to a woman on a train "My God you're beautiful, why the hell don't you have a wedding ring on?" Then ran away embarrassed.

I have to wonder what someone who hate follows a content creator, then comments on all their new videos is like in real life.

I have a list of about 20 recurring names in my mind, who show up to call me a liar, never explain why, and do nothing but try to provoke me into the dumbest conversations you've ever had.

They have all day too. They waste their entire day waiting for a guy with #tourettes to insult them, as they'll reply within minutes.

Even for #tourettes I have a strange case.

Most cases, their tics come in bursts, then stop for a bit, and they're also very intense, and nearly impossible to resist.

My tics NEVER STOP. They are a constant thing I have to resist, and my motor tics are the most complicated case I've ever seen.

But they aren't as intense, and I can resist them for a time, which is why nobody knew until I was 27.

I always suppressed around others because of trauma I went through.

Dating with #tourettes is weird.

There are two things I have to deal with now that it is known about, but still misunderstood:

1. It's fetishized, and someone only likes me because they think it's quirky and weird. They view me more like a play thing, and don't see the real personality underneath. So I feel more like a toy.

2. They don't actually understand it, and only think they do, then doubt I actually have it, or use it against me in abusive manipulation.

So I figured out one of my abilities may be related to #tourettes -

I can drop an entire essay of info on someone without even really thinking about it, have it be well written, and seem like I put effort in, even about extremely complicated subjects.

I was watching a Stream by #sweetanita who is famous for having severe Tourettes too, and she talked about doing the same thing.

Then every time I have a talk online with someone who does too, they also write me giant essays.

You know there is one benefit to #tourettes I've noticed-

Everyone I meet who is a good person loves me.

If someone is annoyed by me, it's an anti-asshole radar. If they do something rude, or confrontational, it's hard for me not to yell or say something.

We'll either get into a confrontation, I see their true colors, I never lose as I am an automatic insult machine and WAY BETTER, or they'll avoid me and never talk to me again. Or both.

I'm okay with that.

I've noticed something kinda #funny that I've never noticed about myself before -

I subconsciously buy durable stuff. Like hard plastic cups instead of glass, or really thick phone cases

I am very clumsy. To anyone who doesn't know, I have really severe #tourettes motor tics, which makes me far from the most coordinated person.

I drop stuff constantly and sometimes straight up throw them if startled.

It's gotta survive being owned by me after all xD

I've never met someone like me.

Not once.

At least that I wasn't related to, and in that case the number is only 3 people I've known in real life who had severe #tourettes like I do.

They're on #youtube and online often, but in reality only about 1 in 8500 people have ANY form of Tourettes as an adult.

Let alone a very severe case like mine.

Entire towns I go, and maybe I'm the only one. It used to make me feel alone, and isolated.

I prefer unique instead now.

I made this video as I have seen a gigantic rise in #discrimination against people with #mentalhealth issues on the #maga side of the fence, who will constantly accuse me of faking #tourettes syndrome for money.

It's already a problem, and has gotten worse.

We can be accidentally funny, and people think we are quirky so it's faked a lot for views.

I always just say "if anyone would like proof, I have the papers from my last hospital stay!"

A little #rant I posted on #scoopz as I get dumb comments on #disability related videos that I should JUST GET A JOB cuz I am fit and young looking.

Finding a job with severe #tourettes motor tics is dumb and I hate it, because most people assume I am on drugs or something, and will ask during the interview, then get embarrassed and never call me back.

Or just think I am insane and strange, hiring someone else more "normal,".

I never understood why grandpa always preferred sandals, and cut holes in the top of his shoes for "breathing" and hated hot feet.

I didn't know why mom hated heels, and loved being barefoot and having minimal shoes, and often went barefoot outside.

I grew up and my #tourettes worsened for a bunch of reasons.

Hot feet make them cramp/spasm up randomly more, and I prefer very thin slip ons myself, and breathable socks.

I also like #sensory of the world.

As bad as #tourettes is for how it makes functioning in society as a semi-normal seeming human being (It's bad, I prefer to just embrace the weird and ignore the idiots,)-

You'll NEVER... EVER IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE...

Be as easily entertained by a fidget spinner, sheet of bubble wrap, plastic bottle, glass bottle, talking, talking to yourself, shouting, or anything tactile/social AS I AM!

I'll be 35 the next election, and having a president with #tourettes would be hilarious.

I'd be the most honest president ever, though probably get us nuked when I tell the wrong dictator to STFU, and to go cry to their mother.

I know more about politics than most politicians I see, know how to manipulate a room being raised by psychopaths, and have thick skin.
