I am more left wing and progressive than any of you nyaaaa #votecompass #ausvotes
The ABC #ausvotes #votecompass really exposes how much the Overton window has shifted. Positioning the LNP as if it’s more centrist than right-wing is just absurd. Likewise, the compass positions the Greens as if they’re more to the left than ONP are to the far-right. Again, absurd. #auspol
The @sfchronicle commissioned a #SanFrancisco mayoral version of the #VoteCompass quiz that actually yielded helpful (and surprising) results for me: my nominally closest match was #AshaSafai. While I will not be ranking him first on my actual ballot, I am going to bump him up much higher than I anticipated. https://votecompass.sfchronicle.com/
Of course I did not need to take this #VoteCompass quiz, but I wanted to see the questions they asked. (Spoiler: it is written as if normal political calculus applied in #Election2024.)
It would have been very satisfying to achieve 100% disagreement with #Trump. And gotta say, it would be 110% if the quiz actually addressed this election's existential issues like authoritarianism, fascism, civil society, and the rule of law.

Well if #CBC's #VoteCompass is anythinf to go by its just as well I don't have a direct say in Alberta's politics (don't live there, and I can't yet vote in Canada as I'm not a citizen), there's no way my views would be represented.
CBC's Vote Compass is an interesting exercise although it's important to note it only captures correspondence on issues. In this election while my alignment with the NDP on many issues is not overwhelming, in our first past the post system, I feel defeating the UCP is the highest priority.
