And I'd bet the average home, despite not being designed for work, is still *way less* distracting than an open-plan office.

In my experience, working from home is efficient and manageable as long as you can set up enough weekly hangouts to still feel social.
Searching for fully remote jobs on job searching platforms only to find promoted on-site roles that can't be filtered out, clearly illustrates the job market's evolution. It's noteworthy how many companies prefer to pay a premium instead of adapting to these transformative times.
