Undersea Cavern "Gate" -
We had reached the end of our time with the submarine, and just left it in the cave - There was no going back up through the Maelstrom, and our path forward was on foot. "We walk from here", I said to my companion, but of course, they didn't get the reference.

"I Was a Software Developer…" webnovel chapter 12 #WIP 2
It’s going to be showtime in this chapter! It’ll have three illustrations for it and I modeled the stage area that scenes in the chapter will take place.
I rendered the background for the first illustration already, so yesterday, I focused on modeling and material adjustments for other parts that will be in renders for the other two.
After the challenges I had getting another room I modeled a couple months ago to render for another illustration, I’m more cautious with limiting .blend files to one room each for large and complex rooms with a lot of materials. Also once again, thank goodness for BlenderKit which saved a lot of time; when I used models from it, I usually adjusted the materials to fit the art style I’m intending.

Ranina Birthing Grotto -
The one primarily functional structure the ranina used was for birthing grottoes. Solid architecture was vastly superior to burying eggs in the sand for both protection and viability.

I have a revised version of the LA-2 mission control shots rendering. I added the space station video texture into two other shots and I fixed the camera movement in LA-2-D.

It's hard to tell about the video texture in stills. It's a subtle effect that should show up when animated.

Ranina Idols -
Ranina spiritual beliefs were centred on their two demon gods, one of birth, the other of death, and the maze that existed between them.
It looks a little less realistic this way, but here's a quick turntable of the final cookie, if you're not hungry enough already.
Alright, here's a new batch.
Moved some of the material shader stuff into the Geometry Nodes setup so the cookies have more interesting shapes and are less reliant on bump maps for larger details.
Also added a layer of fine detail to the bump maps and adjusted the texture to be less busy overall.
The only downside is that the face count has gone up ~3.5x to accommodate the extra geometry.
