Hello... I've only :mastodon: & 🦋 accounts...

...I left TwiX several years ago & will NEVER return...

...however... I'm trans & neurodivergent...

...I wanted to find local groups & Facebook was my only real option, but they blocked me cos ironically I don't seem human to their computer algorithms...

...so I thought I'd post this hoping trans/enby & nd folk reading this, esp in SE Wales, will reach out please. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈♾️🙂

Please boost this message to spread the word!

Virilization Fans or VFans for short is a brand-new instance for transmasculine people and allies.
Registrations are open, so please feel free to apply for an account here.

What can you expect from us?

  • VFans does its best to moderate the server from any unwanted content, especially from bigotry towards transmasc people and POC, as those are demographics often neglected by wider Fediverse.
  • The instance is co-owned by an Indigenous person and is hosted outside of US and UK jurisdictions (therefore we will not be affected by their legislation)
  • As the server uses Akkoma software, you are free to customize the theme of the default front-end (including fonts) to accomodate your disabilities when using our instance.
  • We do balance our moderation actions and try not to apply complete defederations unless severe rule violations occur and the remote admins repeatedly refuse to moderate their user(s), and instead opt for limiting the instance or suspending individual users
  • We blocked Threads on our instance!

Anything else
If you need help, have questions or feedback, feel free to DM this account. Please do not reach out to individual staff accounts about moderation issues. That allows all of VFans staff to chime in to the conversation and/or pass through if necessary.

In those moments that you're faced with hatred towards nonbinary people, remember that bigotry isn't really about you. It's about the one spreading hatred.

They're telling you about themselves. They're saying that they're afraid, weak, resistant to change and to learning.

You have to suffer it in the moment, but they must suffer for far longer.

Wishing everyone at London Trans Pride 2025 a lovely, safe, cop-free time :TransHeart: :NonBinaryHeart: :AgenderHeart: :BiGenderHeart: :GenderfluidHeart: :GenderqueerHeart:

We aren't joining you this year, but there will be other years for LTP, and there are a handful of Prides we might (tenuously) be able to attend in August.

Please do take care, stay with your friends / group, and don't trust the Met to take your side if anti-trans bigots try to cause trouble

One of the best things I've found from transition and presenting visibly queer, is that certain people see me now as friend shaped.

Whether they're queer, neurodivergent, or just kind and empathetic, I am clearly getting a signal across to the right people.

It's so great.

#Maine groups launch #EmergencyFund to support #immigrants and #TransPeople

Maine Public | By Ari Snider

"Several Maine organizations are launching a rapid response fund to support immigrants and trans people in the state who they say are facing increased threats under the #Trump Administration.

"The #MaineSolidarityFund will help cover the cost of legal representation and bond payments for immigrants in #ICEDetention, and provide support to their families.

"#MarpheenChann, executive director of the Cambodian community group #KhmerMaine, believes this approach will be more effective than individual fundraisers for each case.

" 'Our communities can come together to raise money and pool resources, and collectively make sure that our community members are taken care of as they're navigating these very difficult times,' Chann said.

"#KrisPitts, co-executive director of #MaineTransNet, said the fund will help cover #LegalFees in harassment cases, and #GenderAffirmingCare not covered by insurance. Pitts said there's a growing need for support as the Trump administration pursues a number of policies targeting transgender Americans.

" 'For our trans and #nonbinary community members, particularly, the sense of urgency, I think, is there in a way that it wasn't before,' Pitts said.

"Other groups involved in the effort include #PresenteMaine, #GatewayCommunityServicesMaine, and the #CommunityOrganizingAlliance.

"The goal is to raise $1 million over the next year and a half."

About 100 people rallied on the steps of the federal courthouse in Portland on Sunday, June 8th, in solidarity with protestors in Los Angeles pushing back against recent immigration raids there.

would anyone be interested in an instance for **transmasculine** people and allies?
while I know cooltrans.men exists, it wouldn't hurt to have more transmasc spaces on fediverse.
the main difference is that the instance would be federating on an allow-list basis, to minimize the risk of harassment and put less strain on moderation, and would be pivoted towards transmasc artists

if you have any questions/want to volunteer, please let me know
