What's that, #Welding fume is being classified as a higher level carcinogen, and so I not only need a #PAPR respirator welding helmet, I need Local Exhaust Ventilation to suck up and filter the welding fume in the atmosphere?

OK, and how much is that machine.

~$7500 for one that doesn't use ($500+) consumable filters. *sigh* so that's THIS years's tax item.

We have never had such a contagious #airborneVirus in the history of viruses EVER (if I’m wrong please feel free to correct me)

It IS freaking hard to avoid getting #SARS2 if you don’t live in a bubble b/c it’s mutated into an unbelievably🤯high #R0

Going into unventilated 🚫 #HEPA places even w/an N95 mask for extended periods is not safe

Your choices are #elastomeric OR mask + #HEPA helmet like #microclimateAir2 OR a #PAPR

If everyone wore a decent mask it would be a different story, but 1-way masking means we all have to suffer

Why are #PAPR respirators so damn expensive anyway? What's so hard about shoving a relatively-permissively standardized sealing threading in front of and after an electrical fan housing & a hose?

Supposedly some hackaton made that from off-the-shelf parts for 30$. How the fuck are some kits 2000$?

(Considering my allergies fuck up my eyes too and COVID does work through such mucosa, there's no real point in not acquiring a full-face kit eventually).

my spouse is a genetic freak that has very high resistance to coronaviruses. We have no children & we’re both germaphobes w/myself obviously greater of the 2

if i were in the dental field, would be wearing #PAPR & full #BSL3 gear to work; for that matter, any job tbh

when #BillHader has given in, you know #gaslight & societal pressure is too much for any individual to bear
