Uncharted territory -nothing like this has happened in the US -no democracy even remotely as rich or as old as the US has ever BROKEN DOWN. So we have really little to draw from here.

dysfunctional democracy & an unconsolidated#authoritarianism -back & forth: relative good guys win once in a while -don’t perform well -don’t last long & the bad guys win power occasionally -don’t perform well & don’t last long.

@KimPerales Pardon me, but I need to historical fact check your statement that, and I quote; "no democracy even remotely as rich or as old as the US has ever BROKEN DOWN". I'm pretty sure, keeping inflation in mind, that the Roman Empire was at least as rich, if not richer, before its decline. And the US has only existed for 248 years (249 come July 4th, 2025).
