I've no brief for Rashford but it's clear that Amorim is no man manager, notifying team line ups by WhatsApp and then saying if he were a player and left out he'd talk to the manager.

That's someone that thinks there's a hierarchy that's more important than the relationships in a team. I don't believe in national stereotypes, but still.

I don't see why he's surprised Rashford took it public, that's how it works now.

Good luck to Ruben Amorim at Manchester United. Credit to Ashworth/Berrarda/Ineos for decision/action. Amorim will need time: to get to grips with the relentlessness and competitiveness of the Premier League; to make his 3-4-3 system work; and to handle the intense scrutiny on United (5x anything he experienced at Sporting). But United fans right to be excited. Amorim has the ability, work ethic, communication strengths and swagger to reinvigorate players and club. Ugarte-Mainoo central midfield promising. Club sensible to title Amorim ‘head coach’ given new football structure, collaborative recruitment etc. Sensible he lands during international break and also fair on Sporting to give them time to find a replacement. Amorim arrives 11/11, 11 years since Sir Alex left - now to sort out the starting 11 for Ipswich away. #MUFC #Amorim
