Well, this year's Oscar ceremonies are over and there were was only 1 surprise for me when . . .
Emma Stone won for #BestActress in "Poor Things" over Lily Gladstone in "Killers of the Flower Moon" who I thought would win because she would have been the 1st Native American to win an Oscar and because dramatic performances usually win over comedic/farcical ones but it was not to be.
Otherwise, the awards played to script with "Oppenheimer" sweeping the awards for #BestPicture, #BestDirector, #BestActor (Cillian Murphy) & #BestSupportingActor (Robert Downey Jr.) plus 3 other technical categories.
The remaining winner in the major categories was Da'Vine Joy Randolph who won (as I expected) for #BestSupportingActress for her role in "The Holdovers,"
Now, as a new film season begins, I can go about watching the rest of the nominated movies & performances of 2023 that I haven't seen yet in: "American Fiction," "Zone of Interest," "Rustin" & "The Color Purple."
