Read my DNF (did not finish) review of #JonathanFranzen's newest novel, 2021's #Crossroads, in which I discover to my dismay that, 25 years after the death of Postmodernism, a late-middle-aged Franzen is incapable anymore of writing anything but Postmodernist stories, whose churlish, mean, irony-laced nature now badly clashes with the earnestness of our own "Sincereist" times.
