As I drove home late this evening, I happened across a wreck before police arrived. A car was pretty smashed up and missing a wheel, but fortunately no one was badly hurt. I put out a couple of flares to warn drivers coming out of a fast turn.

If you drive, please keep at least three highway flares in your car, and if you use them, put them in the center of the road or lane, away from brush that could ignite.

Road conditions in Ventura County: "slicker than snot". Went into 4wd on a short drive because I was spinning my front wheels even on very slow acceleration off stop lights (in a relatively heavy vehicle with good tires). #slippery #wet #drizzle #VenturaCounty #DriveSafely #CAwx

I was almost hit by a car while out on my #bike ride today. A driver came to a T intersection, stopped and waited, and then when I came across and was already at least 8 feet into the intersection, they pulled forward quickly to turn, right at me. Lots of bad drivers out today; I noticed it when driving back home, too. #DriveSafely
