20 years on and still relevant. Here's a hypothesis, if in fact, as this documentary suggests, the people are having a major effect in restraining corporate power, that it's fueling the rise of authoritarianism in the world. I'm not blaming and it's certainly not on purpose, but in the past, corporations have worked hand in hand with such governments to maintain power, and I wonder if we are seeing the same today. Authoritarians and their corporate backers often use violence to resist the will and welfare of the people if it curtails their power.
