Congrats to the pretty slick video player #Clapper with its first release with support for Windows!

And I love the new feature that let's you auto-set the aspect ratio of the window to the aspect ratio of the video by middle clicking it! Reminds me of my idea for #Gnome to have a way to lock aspect ratios when resizing windows, for these kinds of use cases! gitlab.gnome.org/Teams/Design/

As a KDE Plasma user, I was always jealous of some of the nicer GNOME apps.

Recently I realised that I don't need to be. I can run GNOME apps on KDE Plasma just fine! Sure, they look a little different, but they work just as they would on GNOME.

🗳️ Do you mix apps from different desktops?

(If no option applies to you, please comment instead)

Edit: Added 2 example pics

Is there any tool – maybe in Inkscape or Gimp, but a standalone tool is fine too – for aligning several layers which mostly have the same lines on them?

I've taken several screenshots of maps of the same area, but on different websites, so they are not perfectly aligned. I would like them to be. Bu I'm not able to do that manually, since the zoom level is not perfectly the same across the different maps.

Thanks!

Big thank you to @craftyguy of @postmarketOS - had a nice time talking about all things about app ecosystem, postmarketos, and building community. Grateful that he installed a new version of postmarketos and the camera works!!! (OnePlus 6t) that was exciting. Still trying to figure out why the sim card doesn't work, but it is because there is some kind of lock.

Tiny Crate, a third open source Godot Engine game from the same developer, is all the way down at 224. Not terrible among thousands of apps… but we can get it trending higher. :D

You can check out its nice new icon from @micahilbery by clicking through, too. Plus I hear there’s a new update coming out soon that will add more save slots plus local high scores…

Candy Wrapper, another open source Godot Engine game from the same developer, is also trending! This one’s at #15; can we get it higher?

It also recently passed the guidelines with a shiny new @micahilbery icon (again, might be cached: click through to see the new one).

A nice surprise: ROTA—the open source Godot Engine game I’ve previously gushed about—is currently trending in the #4 spot on Flathub!

This is likely thanks to recently passing all the quality guidelines, including the delicious new app icon from @micahilbery. 😍

Fun fact: if my process and math is correct, Flathub is down to <5% of apps being built from other packaging formats as extra-data sources.
