The stickers for my #NeXT #MegaPixel mini display arrived today. And I think they came out really pretty, huh?

The very first test prints of three parts of my #NeXT #MegaPixel display. And oh boy… the middle part (that one with the ribs) is a nightmare for #FDM printing! Horrible post processing getting rid of the support material! This is wh. y I'm thinking of buying a resin printer. The customers will appreciate it too. Because the parts will have WAY BETTER surface quality!

The #NeXT #MegaPixel Display model from the back, from the side and front.

Test prints and component customization for my #NeXT #MegaPixel display are going well.

Since the IPS panel (an 8-inch 4:3 panel from #Pimoroni, by the way) has a small board with a keypad, I designed a control panel for the #NeXT #MegaPixel display on the bottom of the case. This way, it doesn't interfere with the original design, and the LCD can still be controlled.

How people did #pictures years ago:
Seek and fiddle with their #camera to get the best quality (many megapixel!) and export these to a PC.

The state of the art of how people nowadays do pictures:
Use their superpowered quad core mini computers which include multiple super-high resolution #megapixel cameras to shoot a photo and then send it via #WhatsApp in a super downsized solution to anybody involved.

Dear #3DPrint friends, I have a little problem. This is the base of my #NeXT #MegaPixel Display mini (scale 1:2). How would you print such a part on an #FDM printer with minimal support?

Do you have any ideas?

Schon der #Wahnsinn, was aus 60 #Megapixel rauszuholen ist: ich war auf einer kurzen #Fototour, um ein 21mm #Weitwinkel von #Voigtländer an einer #LeicaM zu testen, da begegnete ich dieser Pflanzenschale bei einem Blumenhändler. Das Resultat lässt sich doch sehen IMHO, auch wenn das Bild nicht mehr für einen Grossformatdruck taugt. #LeicaM11P #Fotografie

Slowly my #NeXT #MegaPixel Display mini takes shape. This is a real design challenge (for me).

Fellow friends of #RetroComputing: I need some thoughts. How should I design the monitor housing of the #NeXT #MegaPixel Display for my #NeXTcube mini? Should I keep the aspect ratio of the original monitor, having this thick chin (left side)? Or should I follow the form factor of the used IPS display with an unique bevel on all sides (right side)?

What do you mean?

Holy crap! I completely forgot that I saved this amazing Kodak DC120, back in 2016, when it was going to get thrown out in an old-gear purge at the institution where we stay in Amman before going out into the field!

At the time I thought it was neat, but I didn’t have a cf card reader. So apparently I just turned it on, took a few test photos and then put it at the back of my storage shelf!

But it’s totally ready for the #ShittyCameraChallenge and even #1990sCameraChallenge
