Not gonna quote the entire article, only the initial question.

smh.com.au/money/super-and-ret

How do you know if you have enough? My wife and I are both in our mid-50s and thinking about retirement around 60. We have $1.6 million in super, and around $1 million in other investments. We own our house and have no debt. We think we’d need about $80,000 to $100,000 a year, depending on how much travel we do. Our money has to last a long time, so how do we know if/when we can safely retire?

The smug gall of these creep-peeps! I hope they get wiped out by a sudden unexpected localised black hole. 😡🖕 🤢🤮

#Trump rejected any notion of empty store shelves or increased #prices, but still maintained that #consumers may be affected.

“I’m just saying they don’t need to have 30 dolls. They can have 3,” he repeated on NBC. “They don’t need to have 250 pencils. They can have 5.” [wtf?]

He also focused on certain aspects of the #economy—including #energy prices—& was dismissive of cost increases in other sectors.

#Trump was criticized last week for suggesting…#consumers would see price increases & may have to do more w/less, making the striking comment that “children will have 2 dolls instead of 30 dolls.”

In the NBC interview he said, “I don’t think that a beautiful baby girl needs—that’s 11 yrs old—needs to have 30 dolls. I think they can have 3 dolls or 4 dolls because what we were doing w/China was just unbelievable. We had a trade deficit of hundreds of billions of dollars w/China.”

This is a man who has never fed himself.

He’s been weird about this for months.

#Trump: "I inherited a groceries situation. The groceries went way up. An old fashioned word, but it's a very descriptive word."

What is he talking about?

They are literally called #grocery stores, everyone who doesn’t have butlers, maids, & chefs uses the word #groceries.

I just published a blog essay, Games Billionaires Play, responding to Howard Lutnick's recent callous mulling about stopping Social Security payments to see who makes noise.

I make some counter-proposals about other games we could play.

'One #Conservative source has told the #BBC it just did not occur to anyone at the top of the campaign that it would be a problem, especially with the #G7 summit in Italy next week where the prime minister will see all the same leaders.'
