This should really be the norm. Chipping has its place in the timber industry (though that should be confined to plantation timber) however, there needs to be repurposing otherwise. This is a good story. There should be more like them.

To #repurpose an old #Kindle e-ink e-reader you would usually require it's root password.
This tool is a single web page that uses #javascript (running locally) to compute the root password for your device from it's serial number (located on the device's settings page). There is also a link to the original #Python script that this tool is derived from.

The local Computers For Schools was gifted with a pallet load of Dell DP/N 0MN008. Over couple years they've given away as much as they can. They're only 2.5 watts, but surely there's something interesting to do with them?

This is the coolest #solarpunk thing I've seen in a minute. Found at an art fair, this young person is repurposing old items, drilling holes in the bottom of them, and turning them into planters. Even their cards are repurposed. They keep stuff out of the trash and create distinctive plant-holders. I love it.

I tried to make a jacket thinking it would work similar to a hard sythetic leather material. I was kinda wrong, it's kinda just stiff. Pics tommorow.
The material can be sewed rather easily and can be superglued very effectively. You could totally make an old one into a picnic blanket!! Maybe tarp?
