My contribution to #SuperbOwlSunday, I decided to do a 1 hour painting of an owl that I found on wikipedia. I finished in 47 minutes in part because I got frustrated, but the finished piece isn't too bad for a quick sketch!

12 years ago a small parliament of Superb Owls (Of the Eastern Screech Owl variety) nested in a tree by my house for a couple months. I wish I had been able to get better pictures.
I have it on good authority that today is #superbowlsunday so here is the #superbowl that lives like 500m from my apartment
