Google Australia is increasing the price of youtube premium family plan to $40AUD a month. What a fucking joke. It was too expensive at the last increase ($32/month), but the wife begged me she didnt want to deal with adblockers.

This might be the end of it, no features or value in that increase.

Manchmal fühlt sich der Kampf für die (eigene) #informationelleSelbstbestimmung - den #Datenschutz - aussichtslos an,
ich möchte daher daran erinnern, dass auch kleine Schritte etwas bewirken können:
* Nutzt einen Ad- und Tracking-Blocker (#uBlockOrigin)
* Ändert die Standardsuchmaschine(auch wenn ihr diese nicht zu 100% nutzt) (#DuckDuckGo #Ecosia #Qwant #SwissCows)
* Wechselt den #Browser(#FireFox #Brave #LibreWolf)

The developers of uBlock Origin, in the absence of any complaints from Ukrainians, decided to remove the Ukrainian filters and replace them with "Ukrainian filters" created by ruzzian developers. Considering that Ukraine is constantly under ruzzian cyberattacks, the uBlock Origin developers have committed an act of sabotage, and I no longer have any doubts about the humanity of the people behind this project.

I will be looking for alternative addons, and I recommend you do the same, because none of you can feel safe anymore as ruzzian filters can easily censor and hide information from you, such as banners about the war in Ukraine or links to support funds or hide the truth about a candidate in the upcoming elections so that you don’t vote for another one.

While participants saw benefits like improved focus and privacy, concerns around missing important information and isolation also emerged.
Our findings highlight the need for intuitive #XR ad-blocking controls and we provide guidelines for future content-blocking XR design.

www.alexandria.unisg.chAd-Blocked Reality: Evaluating User Perceptions of Content Blocking Concepts Using Extended RealityInspired by the concepts of diminishing reality and ad-blocking in browsers, this study investigates the perceived benefits and concerns of blocking physical, real-world content, particularly ads, through Extended Reality (XR). To understand how users perceive this concept, we first conducted a user study (n=18) with an adblocking prototype to gather initial insights. The results revealed a mixed willingness to adopt XR blockers, with participants appreciating aspects such as customizability, convenience, and privacy. Expected benefits included enhanced focus and reduced stress, while concerns centered on missing important information and increased feelings of isolation. Hence, we investigated the user acceptance of different ad-blocking visualizations through a follow-up online survey (n=120), comparing six concepts based on related work. The results indicated that the XR ad-blocker visualizations play a significant role in how and for what kinds of advertisements such a concept might be used, paving the path for future feedback-driven prototyping.

Politics had totally changed, instead of having politicians, you only had puppets for the big tech companies: all those puppets did, was make sure that it's companies kept getting more financially powerful, and kept getting even more invasive, as if that were even possible

I mean they were a literally up your digestive track already, all the way to your spinkster.

Don't let me talk about flying; it takes you literally 72 hours to book a ticke; 8 hours a day you have to follow those dreadful procedures of which 90% is just ads, to finally get the seat booked with six screens pointed at you only bombarding you with advertisements.

Trains were even worse; Walls of screens, almost no place to sit, let alone sit comfortably.
In busses they left you alone, but what they did, is make the bus almost totally transparent and make sure that all the of the massive screens at the buildings were pointing at you, giving out all your personal information for everyone else to see, including your menstrual cycle, the size of your prostate, and everything else that's supposed to be medically sealed, just to show you walls and walls of advertisements regarding those medical status parameters.

And do not think that when you're finally at home sleeping, away from your dreadful job, and asleep that you sleep cycle was normal
Remember those devices that implanted in you at Birth? Those devices injected at advertisements in your dreams making your sleep horrific and tiring.

Suicide rates were skyrocketing; it was normal to lose a friend every month who succumbed to suicide because of the horrific carpet bombing advertisements raids. There were more psychiatrists than regular physicians. Funeral parlors were the only places where business was booming for the private sector, owned by fairly regular people.

Mercedes-Benz almost exclusively made funeral cars because that's what's sold the most and the best and asked for the most, by those who could still afford cars
