Intro time!

This isn't my first venture into the fedi, but is the first account devoted mainly to my passion of magic, especially gambling demos and illusions with cards, but also anything related to sleight-of-hand, misdirection and the deceptive arts more generally.

Whatever can be done with criminal intent can also be done to entertain - from pickpocketing to escapology, confidence scams to faking "supernatural" powers.

Before breakfast I found another favorite I haven't collected yet on Netflix called It follows, talk about a nasty thing to catch after sex! 🤣 After breakfast I'll start getting into the Warren files with the 1st 2 #Conjuring & 2 #Annabelle movies. I haven't collected all the Warren stories yet I'm still missing the Curse of Llorona & the Nun & of course they don't seem to be streaming on any of the services I have so another year of not seeing them all again #MyHorrorfest #Possession #Horror

I have a growing pile of magic (conjuring) books that I need to read (and a list of more I want to buy). I guess they’re a bit like technical manuals but with bite-sized chunks inside (each trick). Some things I’ll want to learn, some things just read. Maybe make some notes on bits. Many are not mainstream books and don’t have ISBNs etc. Any suggestions on a way to manage my books, reading and notes? #books #bookstodon #magic #conjuring

Another average #Conjuring film, but one that has some really nice touches that make it superior to the first one for me. The newspaper stand scene was just beautifully staged. Also, on a positive note, we have a quasi all-female cast showing the boys how the game is played. And I have a soft spot for the Farmiga family, anyway. And always interested in what's up at the Warrens'. Average, but pretty to look at

I would also like to add this link to a blog from a local, who has been clearing Bathsheba Sherman's name, Bathsheba is the one who has been claimed as being an infant killing witch in the tales of the haunting of the house. - (She actually never lived or died on the property)
