I’m sure the money saved by not sending this video player to thousands of people would have paid for a couple of FTEs. But, no. #crowdstrike sent this thing that plays ONE stupid video to a bunch of people, and now pretty much every single one of them is in a landfill somewhere. Suck my dick, Kurtz.

So, CS is cutting 500 people, to use that money to invest in something that will generate $10 Billion in recurring revenue?

As a CS customer and user, I already have issues with their Falcon platform. I doubt moving to AI or whatever they will do will be a net benefit to the customer.

@1br0wn For reliability let alone autonomy reasons, you likely also want staged deployments of updates that can be automatically rolled back if the updated version shows any problems (see also #CrowdStrike).

And no ability for third-party code to communicate outside the government’s own domain, except via tightly controlled government proxies which monitor and control all data in/out
