👋 Hi all #Python enthusiasts!
I'm looking for someone who has time now to conduct a review of a piece of software for Journal of Open Source Software (JOSS). Details are here:
github.com/openjournals/joss-r
The review process is quite simple - you get a checklist and you run some tests. It's all open, on GitHub.

GitHub[REVIEW]: MZsearch: A Python-Based Compound Identification Tool for GC-MS and LC-MS-Based Metabolomics · Issue #7594 · openjournals/joss-reviewsBy editorialbot

Proud to announce our latest paper: "OpenMS WebApps: Building User-Friendly Solutions for MS Analysis".

We've been working for the last couple of years to provide an interface for people to try out the power of #OpenMS without having to install or download anything. We think the webapp concept works well for this, and with the templates we provide we also think it should be handy for folks wanting to deploy their own locally hosted apps.

Check out the paper here: pubs.acs.org/doi/10.1021/acs.j

ScienceDailyTesting the effect of thousands of compounds on cellular metabolismResearchers are able to test in parallel the effects of over 1500 active substances on cell metabolism. Their analysis also led to the discovery of previously unknown mechanisms for known medications. This approach might help scientists to better predict side effects and find additional uses for commercially available pharmaceuticals.
