I am proud to have been invited by @LinaroLtd to be a keynote speaker at the #LinaroConnect2025 conference.

Come see the amazing work Linaro has been doing with the communities to accelerate the #WindowsOnArm ecosystem.

This won't be a fluffy presentation. I am planning on showing how we do pre-silicon OS development. There will be emulators, kernel and hypervisor debuggers and even Virtual JTAG on stage. Hopefully a well packed 15 minutes to leave a smile on a hacker's face.

So is Microsoft really committed to Windows on ARM, when even recent games and software they publish doesn't even run on ARM.

worksonwoa.com/en/games/?query the latest two Opus do not run, be it through the emulator or a native build, on machines sold in 2025.

Stop half-gassing these thing, and perhaps commit on getting those to run there ?

(If your Arxan DRM is incompatible with the emulators, perhaps get a native build)

This is getting confusing af

So the raw specs of new Intel/AMD CPUs could run it but they won't? What's the point of even packing it into the silicon then? Is the software component ARM only?

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have it arrive never

It’s time to upgrade my work computer and I am struggling to find a way to keep using Macs/macOS. I currently rely on Parallels to run Windows on my 2020 MacBook Pro to build Windows x86/x64 applications. The Apple Silicon Macs are not a viable option unless I pay for a Windows VM in the cloud. Am I missing any other workarounds? Can I compile x86/x64 apps using Windows on ARM? #softwaredev #windowsonarm #macos #macbookpro
