So I swapped out the two testing #NVMe drives I was using and reinstalled the original sticks - to have #windoz10 demanding for the #bitlocker recovery key. 
Well, time to wipe & install #windoz11 then.
Install went fine, only 4 rando #drivers to find for all #devices to be recognized and working.
Using my #CTT scripts to install the majority of applications, then to remove the #spyware #bloatware and other garbage #micro$oft added to #windows11
Then migrate my #data from my other ThinkPad. Welcome to my #sunday #funday

@pgmj Very interesting view. Likely more to discuss than what fits even in Mastodon posts.
The criticism of #CTT is for me limited to item statistics, descriptive analyses etc.
Factor analyses have been generalised (at the latest) in the 1980ies to address the problems you (correctly) bring up. And even strictly within CTT, congeneric test models were available early (but less convenient).
In my view, it is a criticism of the use of methods, than the methods themselves.
@pgmj Interesting. I struggle to find any #CTT in there, but that probably depends on where one chooses to put categorial data factor models; and whether CTT approaches are considered to be latent variable models or not.
I would agree that it does not cover #IRT models in general, or #RaschModels in particular.
