Alphabet's Google must sell its Chrome browser, share data and search results with competitors and take a range of other measures to end its monopoly on searching the internet, U.S. prosecutors argued to a judge on Wednesday. #us #usa #news #minimarketonlineltd #minimarket #America #google #ChromeBrowser

If you want #ChromeBrowser functionality, without the Google spyware and cross tracking, Vivaldi is the best browser available IMHO.
Schools and colleges often require Chrome, because they now have paid features from Google that only work on Chrome, but Vivaldi gets around that too. My kids have never had to install Chrome for school or college.

Google gets its way, bakes a user-tracking ad platform directly into Chrome

In a move that should come as no surprise to anyone, Google is being a jerk. Again. The latest update to Chrome introduces yet more privacy-wrecking malfeatures. And, these settings are switched on automatically the moment you launch Chrome.
If you're running Chrome, go to the "Ad Privacy" page (chrome://settings/adPrivacy), and switch off the settings for "Ad topics", "Site-suggested ads", and "Ad measurement".
All done?
Woah, no, not so fast there!
Now, go do the same for Chrome on your phone.
