I get to go play* roller derby on Friday night!

I'll be a skater member of a roller derby league starting
this week and I ... wow. It's been so long.

And not just any league, the friggin' Rose City Rollers- home of a five-time world champion team. I will
not be a world-class skater any time soon (or ever, probably) but it's still gonna be awesome.

*it's a skills practice, but close enough

In two weeks, I will be traveling to Wales and England to play Roller Derby in an away game against Riot City Ravens in Wales and two 5 Nations Roller Derby Games in England, hosted by Bristol Roller Derby. I have two entire Roller Derby teams behind me who I am proud to be part of. I will be defying all "guidance", diktats or laws from the British Government on the segregation of trans women while in GB.

#introduction for my lovely new server.

I'm David (most contexts) or Stacktrace (#RollerDerby). I'm a software engineer at #Slack and I love building #FOSS (#Python, #Django, #Rust, and #Nix).

I made:

- stave.app, volunteer management for roller derby.
- paytransparency.work, tracking pay transparency laws.
- bibliothekai.ktema.org, cataloging translations of Greek & Roman classics.

My non-tech interests are #AncientGreek, my beloved #dachshund Mishka, botanic gardens, and #SciFi.

#TombOfDragons again. Still.

I really, really want to be listening to the audiobook. Liam Gerrard's character voicings are in my head whenever I take the time to really enjoy a sentence or a phrase.

But I have a deep need to inhale the whole story NOW, and the audiobook would take too long.

(I may begin listening to it during tonight's #rollerDerby commute.)

(I am at peace with the prospect of getting nothing beyond the distinctly necessary done today. It's fine. It's FINE.)
