The <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/gatekeeper" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>gatekeeper</span></a> has successfully filibustered me out of the (virtual) room with their marketing blah blah.</p><p>My conclusion: <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/Apple" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Apple</span></a> has proven that their approach to the <a href="https://eupolicy.social/tags/DMA" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DMA</span></a> is malicious and aims not at compliance but at building its legal attack against the Regulation in the courts.</p><p>Usually I wouldn't mind but while Apple can afford it with unlimited money, year-long proceedings will bind valuable EC resources that are needed for actual enforcement. 🤕</p>

Angesichts der aktuellen Ereignisse in der digitalen Welt, bezüglich #MAGA, #gafam und #bigtech möchte ich das Buch "BigTech muss weg" von Martin Andree wärmstens empfehlen. Alles, was die #Gatekeeper aktuell veranstalten, dient einzig und alleine dazu, #Europa zu schwächen.

Die Medienlandschaft wird zerstört, die #Demokratie untergraben. Der lokale Markt gnadenlos kaputt gemacht.

#Google schliesst testweise journalistische Inhalte von den Suchergebnissen aus. Betroffen davon sind Belgien, Dänemark, Frankreich, Griechenland, Italien, Kroatien, die Niederlande, Polen und Spanien.

Es ist höchste Eisenbahn, dass sich Europa digital selber entwickelt und einen eigenen Suchindex aufbaut!

#Google has so far completely ignored the #DMA's easy-switching requirements. It’s still more than 15 steps to change the default #searchengine on #Android devices, and search websites can't guide users to the setting in #Chrome.

On the choice screen obligation (art. 6(3)): Google also hasn’t rolled out updated Android choice screens to 250+ million #EU users according to competitor #Duckduckgo, who has lodged a complaint against the #gatekeeper in 2024.
