* Technical visit with co-workers at the Palacete Pinho (1897), former residence of Commander Antônio José de Pinho, now transformed into a institution of arts, culture and education. With eclectic style, it is covered with German polychrome tiles, ordered from the Ville Roy & Boch factory.

20th dedication for the artbook, with a 20th century Esther and Erie: Jesko has bought the artbook and asked for my heroines visiting a universal exposition. I decided to draw them during the 1900 edition in Paris, Esther wearing a dress inspired by Les Nouvelles Merveilleuses in 1908. Thanks for his trust!

Lasciamo stare l'originalità della coppia ascensore-relatività. Sicuramente non si tratta del primo #ascensore (semmai il primo ascensore elettrico, ma è del 1880, cioè di quando #Einstein era neonato)
Ma poi... A #Berlino? Ma non stava a #Zurigo? Se accettiamo come data convenzionale per la fine della #BelleÉpoque lo scoppio della #PrimaGuerraMondiale (28 luglio 1914), Einstein a Berlino ci ha lavorato letteralmente le ultime poche settimane (si era trasferito il I aprile).

Una carta intitolata "La cultura e la società europee nella Belle Époque". La carta rappresenta l'Europa; alcuni luoghi sono segnati con un numero e tutt'intorno alla carta ci sono le didascalie numerate. La didascalia che volevo sottoporvi è la n. 3 e si trova nell'immagine qui a fianco.
"[3] A Berlino si sviluppano innovativi studi nel campo della fisica e della tecnica: non solo vi conduce le sue geniali ricerche Einstein, ma viene inventato anche il primo ascensore."

just spotted that this starts on BBC4 tonight - hadn't heard of it before and thus missed the first series (Paris Police 1900) . Very much tempted to give it a try though. imdb.com/title/tt25815944/ very much object to TV series in general, but do make exceptions if and when I'm interested in the subject matter. #Paris #BelleEpoque

@mergerson With the caveat that I haven't read these yet so it's not a recommendation per se, but I came across these books during research on belle epoque writers / artists / musicians (mainly Proust / Debussy / Monet that interested me, but it covers more than them) in case this is relevant to your interests!
