We all told you so about trump twice. The democrats decided it was more important to stop Bernie sanders than actually beat trump. The same thing happened with Claudia de la cruz & karina Garcia. Liberalism is about supporting fascism over anything remotely socialist or communist. #aoc #Bernie&aoc #BernieSanders support #genocidejoe #KopmalaHarris just #neoliberal sellout garbage. He could have been our #lenin but he just had to endorse Biden Harris Gross

One of the few good things to emerge from the exposure of war secrets by US officials on Signal has been the memes and humour. This one on BlueSky really tickled my fancy - mainly because I studied the Russian Revolution at university some 50 years ago and it was one of my favourite papers ever.

"Lenin discovering Alexander Kerensky has accidentally added him to the Provisional Government Group chat."

@OhWeh So, so.

Damien Walter on the marxism of Star Wars: Andor.

Andor’s character is modelled after young Stalin, Ryles has Trotskyite rhetoric, the prison on Narkina 5 is modelled after Russian empire’s Gulag system.

It shows the Republic was already a corrupt oligarchy before the empire. The fascism was already there. The Empire was the symptom, not the cause.

Season 2 will be released on April 22: Vladimir Lenin’s birthday.

"Not a good brand anymore": Finland transforms Lenin museum to reflect changing ties with Russia.

Tampere's historic museum, once a site where Lenin and Stalin met as young communists, now tells the story of Finland's journey from Russian empire province to NATO member state.

Euromaidan press · "Not a good brand anymore": Finland transforms Lenin museum to reflect changing ties with Russia.By Maria Tril

'A #Finnish museum dedicated to the #Russian #Soviet leader Vladimir #Lenin has reopened under a new name and with new exhibits in response to rapidly changing relations between two neighbouring countries after #Russia’ s full-scale invasion of #Ukraine.

The former Lenin Museum in #Tampere, which closed in November, reopened this month under a new name, #Nootti, which refers to the Finnish word for a #diplomatic note.'

Suomi mainittu!

I still have a small #Lenin plaster bust that I bought from #Tampere Lenin #Museum shop quarter a century ago. He’s got a crack in his skull and misses half of his other eye, but his fatherly smile hasn’t wavered.

Sometimes I’m about to throw him away, and then I don’t. It’s part of my history, I explain to myself, sounding like my home town officials relating to the bigger #Lenin bust here (currently removed from the street, tho).

@RichardJMurphy

Yes! It’s all written down in the Project 2025 documents!

I also remember what Steve #Bannon said in 2016 in the runup to the #Brexit vote. Describing himself as a “#Leninist”, he said:

#Lenin wanted to destroy the state, and that’s my goal too. I want to bring everything crashing down, and destroy all of today’s establishment.”
