Has anyone managed to make a message #bridge between different #spreadingfactor #sf #lora #rnodes using #reticulum #rns : either using the same single computer and two different #rnode radios (on the same frequency), or using two rnode radios on 2 different computers connected by #wifi? I seem to get this not working "out of the box" because of #collisions of lora packets of the two rnodes. Has anyone managed to bridge lora rnodes by putting in a transmission delay in #reticulum e.g. #meshchat ?

Naja, darum (siehe Screenshot).

#Reticulum #RNS

"Reticulum is the cryptography-based networking stack for building local and wide-area networks with readily available hardware. Reticulum can continue to operate even in adverse conditions with very high latency and extremely low bandwidth.

The vision of Reticulum is to allow anyone to operate their own sovereign communication networks, and to make it cheap and easy to cover vast areas with a myriad of independent, interconnectable and autonomous networks.

Reticulum is Unstoppable Networks for The People.

Reticulum is not one network. It is a tool for building thousands of networks. Networks without kill-switches, surveillance, censorship and control. Networks that can freely interoperate, associate and disassociate with each other.

Reticulum is Networks for Human Beings.

From a users perspective, Reticulum allows the creation of applications that respect and empower the autonomy and sovereignty of communities and individuals. Reticulum provides secure digital communication that cannot be subjected to outside control, manipulation or censorship.

Reticulum enables the construction of both small and potentially planetary-scale networks, without any need for hierarchical or beaureucratic structures to control or manage them, while ensuring individuals and communities full sovereignty over their own network segments.

Is there a #simulation of a #lora #reticulum #radio #mesh used with different numbers of #rnode #radio #nodes #rnodes for given #spreadingfactor ( #sf ) & given payload size? Am interested to know what happens to the routing, & likelyhood of #deliveryconfirmation for small LoRa packets (max 2 blocks), for longest transmission times i.e. spreading factor 12 #SF12 . Would like to know if my impressions, that SF 12 is very tricky under #RNS LoRa as compared with #SF10, have a clear explanation.

If I have 10 virtual machines (m1..10) in #proxmox each running #rnode hardware (r1..10), via 10 #meshchat guis (g1..10), over one of 10 respective usb-c connections,
& all 10 virtual machines are on the same local area network #LAN via 1 network card/interface of the 1 computer running proxmox, can I link the virtual machines using #reticulum #rns #autointerface
reticulum.network/manual/inter
& will thereby each #rnode #meshchat #gui receive all #lora mediated data from each other #rnode over #lan ?

@fishingdev @richardwonka @fidepus #reticulum via #nomadnet also serves pages like #webpages which is a powerful & stable manner of providing up to date information in emergencies. Can for example provide automated #webcams over #lora #radio #mesh #network #reticulum allows for data transfer of sound and images and so is ideal for emergency communication over #radio #lora Saying it is too complex is like saying internet it too complex for emergencies. #rns is even simpler than internet & robust

#Settings in #reticulum #meshchat #reticulummeshchat #rns for #lora #radio #mesh Always set your stationary / radio #rnode #rnodes to be #gateway nodes (#interfaces) for effective #routing in your #mesh. See Sect 6.14 of rns #reticumlumnetworkstack manual
reticulum.network/manual/Retic
(and of course always also as #transport node else message packets from other nodes won't spread) Set the settings in the #configuration file or #update the #meshchat program now & set to gateway in the settings menu.

#Commandline setup of a #reticulum #radio #rnode , and the required #rnsd #rns #daemon #software, as a #transportnode to forward #lora packets from other rnodes in the #loramesh . These commands can be used over #ssh to set up a #headless computer that powers and runs the rnode (as an "interface") via #usb connection from the computer e.g. #RaspberryPi #raspberrypizero2 . Includes command line #flashing of the rnode #firmware and setting the radio settings for #867mhz
